As a dominant player in the sub-tier consumer category, Tracfone had a large customer base that positioned them as the fifth-largest wireless provider in the country. As a low-cost wireless provider, they had strategically placed their retail operations inside value-based retail chains like Walmart and Price Club.

Tracfone came to Experience MINT for help launching their own chain of wireless stores that could compete with the likes of Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. They needed a partner that could create experiential retail environments and retail displays that would appeal to all classes of consumers.

Experience MINT’s design experts knew that this environment needed to use technology & a modern flair to achieve the final result. Zones were created in each category, that were centered with digital touch screens, live products, and individualized LED lighting. Categorical signs and a digital wayfinding screen positioned at the entrance helped to guide customers to the products and services they wanted, as well as a “smart bar” for consultative discussions and training classes. A large video wall, 3D ceiling halo architecture, Led track lighting and customized flooring “zones’ brought the high-end design together.

Both existing customers and new were attracted to the modern, innovative design and retail displays. The new stores effectively communicated the Tracfone brand as a quality low-cost wireless provider.
