RNR is a successful tire retailer with approximately 100 locations spread throughout the South and Midwest. Their business model has been centered around a low to mid-tier customer base, the majority of which pay for their purchases weekly or monthly. Most of the locations are Franchise owned which is also where the majority of growth will come from.
RNR has plans for significant expansion and desired to create a uniform, higher-end look to their retail design. The goal of this design is to help position the brand with both their current tier of customer, but also with the mid to high-tier customers. By accomplishing this, they would witness significant incremental sales growth and strengthen the RNR brand in the marketplace.
The new design needed a professional, refined look that lent itself to a higher end customer experience. This starts with customized POS kiosks that allow for an individualized interaction with each customer, and were tailored to the RNR POS equipment package. With personalized stations and matching work credenzas, the stores can handle a higher volume of traffic and deliver a better customer experience.
The product displays were designed with a more sophisticated functionality and presentation. The Wheel Wall elevated the design from the historical wire grid wall that had been used and is capped with a center digital signage display. To complement that Wheel Wall, a 3-sided feature floor display attracts customers to the most popular items in high traffic areas on the retail floor.
Since many customers choose to wait for their purchases, MINT designed a “re-charge bar” with customized power & USB outlets so people can use & re-charge their devices while they wait. This stool height waiting area, complemented by traditional lower seating, allows customers to wait in a comfortable and upscale environment. The design is capped off with an accessory wall display to promote up-sell opportunities.
MINT was engaged to deliver a turn-key solution with the RNR stores. This began with an environmental design that delivers the experience that is expected by today’s omni-channel customer. Each store was provided a custom layout that worked best for that space. Fixture production followed and included technology integration, white glove delivery and professional installation.
